Itinerary
Meeting with the guide to the Old Port, the city's first port and today
masterfully renovated by the Genoese architect Renzo Piano and
transformed into the tourist heart of the city.
From here you will enter the historic center, the largest medieval
historical center in Europe and you will follow the typical medieval
carruggi, reaching the Cathedral (outdoor visit) and Piazza San Matteo,
the best preserved medieval square in the city. A short climb will take us
to Piazza De Ferrari, the main square, surrounded by majestic
nineteenth-century and twentieth-century buildings and its beautiful
fountain in the center. Not far away, there is the historic Acquasola garden,
where a guided tour will end in the special area of sgambatura.
